In September 2021 I finished Makers, a 16-week intensive coding
bootcamp. Prior to Makers, I graduated with a degree in Physics
with Astrophysics MSci, had a career as an advertising
creative/copywriter and performed stand-up comedy across the UK
and Europe.
At Mumsnet I use Laravel, Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Livewire and
MySQL, and test with phpunit. I have experience with JavaScript,
React, Next.js, Node, Express, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS,
Sinatra, Capybara, and data structures and algorithms. I've also
tested with Jest, Jasmine, React Testing Library and RSpec.
A blog-type site to host some of my thoughts on my stand-up
experiences, built with Next.js 13, Sanity v3 (a CMS which uses
the GROQ query language), TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
A light clone of streaming site Hulu built with Next.js, the TMDB
(The Movie Database) API and Tailwind CSS.
Airbnb clone, built using Next.js, Tailwind CSS and various
dependencies.
Recipe app built with React Hooks, the Spoonacular API and styled
components.
Key-J is an app to help DJs, musicians and music enthusiasts
access a song's key information, such as danceability, energy,
mood, tempo, time signature and, of course, key. It was built
using React, Node, Express, Jest, React Testing Library, Puppeteer
and the Spotify API.
This project uses JavaScript and was a great learning experience
as my first introduction to HTML Canvas.
Expense tracker built using React, including useContext and
useReducer hooks.
